This Technical Project Manager role sits at the centre of design, manufacture and project delivery, reporting into senior operational leadership and working alongside Project Coordinators, Design, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams. The focus is on ensuring all projects are technically robust, fully costed and approved prior to release, with strong control over programme, quality and margin throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Own the technical review and release of drawings, BOMs and documentation, ensuring manufacturability, cost accuracy and client sign-off before production
• Lead end-to-end project delivery planning, maintaining control of programme, resources, risk and change with clear reporting to senior stakeholders
• Implement and oversee quality control and supplier performance processes to reduce rework, defects and delivery risk
• Drive continuous improvement across workflows, lessons learned and team capability, embedding a right first time delivery culture

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in technical project delivery within manufacturing, fabrication or construction-led environments
• Strong understanding of design-to-manufacture workflows and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience implementing or managing quality control, process assurance or supplier performance frameworks
• High level of commercial awareness with experience managing cost, margin and delivery risk

You will maintain a positive long term relationship with clients, design team and main contractors on the projects. The role will be an evolving position responding to the requirements of the company, however the main duties will include:

• Responsible for day to day running of the project, communicating with the Client, design team, contractors & with the team on site.
• To be client facing during & at all times when needed to explain systems, suggest alternatives when needed or to handover systems
• Working closely with internal engineers & third party teams when required on site to ensure they have what they need (documentation, Equipment, access etc) to do the job in hand but also to ensure that standards are being kept
• Rack Design Following company Rack design guidelines, this can be worked up with Lead Engineer.
• Working with the Project Support Team to produce drawings for your project, managing the team to update drawings for your project so they are issued on time.
• Procurement of equipment within in time so project stays within timeline & within budgets laid out, final check of equipment that equipment specified is suitable for application
• Understanding & an eye for safety for team on site, ensuring RAMS have been issued to site
• Attending or holding meetings either on site or virtual, ensuring to raise any relevant information in a professional & timely manner
• Producing Programmes for the duration of the project.
• Managing project Finances & Invoicing, Variations & quote (Design Team/AA/MS may assist when needed) throughout the project with client team &/or main contractor. Funds must be received before purchasing unless special agreed terms.

Experience Required

• A good overall understanding of Audio Visual Systems
• AV & Lighting Control systems Crestron, Savant, Lutron
• Cinema systems & Surround sound
• Able to design, read & understand technical drawings & schematics

Out of Hours Support

You will be on call as per the company weekend rota to be frontline support for calls coming into the office, to then delegate to an engineer if required to go out.
