PMagency is pleased to be working with a specialised provider of fire protection solutions. Based in Oldham, they deliver high-quality fire safety systems across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Due to ongoing demand, we are supporting them in recruiting a Project Manager with experience in AutoCAD and project management. This role offers the chance to join a small, well-established team and work on projects from start to finish. You will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of fire sprinkler system projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with regulations.

You will start each project by working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand the scope and requirements. Using architectural layouts, you will produce overlays incorporating the company’s fire safety systems and plant rooms, primarily using AutoCAD 2D. Projects must comply with relevant standards and codes, and you will need to identify any potential issues and recommend solutions.

The role involves managing fire sprinkler system projects from initial concept to completion, including design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. You will be responsible for creating project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will need to coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure resources are allocated effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials.

Maintaining quality assurance throughout the delivery phase is essential. You will ensure installations meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations by conducting regular inspections and audits, addressing any deficiencies promptly.

As the primary point of contact for clients, clear and effective communication is vital. You will provide regular updates, address queries, and manage expectations, building strong relationships through transparency and responsiveness.

To be considered for this role, you will need experience in fire sprinkler system design, installation, and project management. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software is required.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as BS EN 12845, BS 9251, LPC Rules for Automatic Sprinkler Installations, FM Global, or NFPA, would be highly advantageous.
