PMagency is working with a well-established engineering business that designs and supplies high pressure compression systems into the UK market. The company is delivering a number of complex, high value projects and is looking to appoint a technically credible Project Manager to join its Engineering Projects team.
This is a fully office based role at their Colchester Head Office. You will take full ownership of projects from contract kick off through to final customer handover, acting as the primary point of contact for customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Design Engineers and Technical Engineers, you will ensure all contractual deliverables, technical documentation and reporting requirements are met to agreed timescales. The role requires strong organisation, structured reporting and the ability to manage risk, resource allocation and stakeholder expectations in a controlled engineering environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining detailed project plans, chairing project review meetings, managing risk and opportunity registers and providing bi-weekly progress updates to the department lead. The position is customer facing and will involve attendance at client meetings, with occasional travel to Germany as required.
Key requirements:
- Proven Project Management experience within an engineering environment
- Strong mechanical understanding with an engineering background
- Confident in customer facing situations and stakeholder management
- Eligible for SC Clearance and must be a UK National
Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or APM is advantageous. A passport and full UK driving licence are required.
